709 Point Beach Gives $14,000 to Foundation

Restaurant donates in honor of Monmouth County boy who died from cancer

The 709 restaurant at 709 Arnold Ave., Point Beach, recently donated $14,000 to the Ashley Lauren Foundation in memory of a young boy who found his zest for burgers and for life.

The donation comes from a fundraiser that the restaurant had for the foundation in honor of Mark "the Shark" Levine, who succumbed to cancer, but not before creating a special burger recipe.

The recent fundraiser made the "Mark the Shark" burger the centerpiece of the event, to the delight of Mark's family, who live in Marlboro, friends and foundation representatives.

That's really cool having a fund raiser for a great cause. In addition, 709 is probably one of the best restaurants in Ocean County. With Chef Mike, how can you not love the food.
It's nice to see a restaurant leverage their resources for a good cause.

We need more business owners like those at 709....they are a shining example of what the community and it's business owners can do when they work together
