Autopsies show two cousins who went to the Manasquan Inlet together died of "accidental drownings" on the Point Beach rock jetty, according to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
The autopsies were done Tuesday night at Community Medical Center, Toms River.
On Monday, divers and investigators had found the body of Jorge Hernandez, 25, of Baltimore Avenue, Point Beach, and Carlos Acevedo, 24, of Sherman Avenue, Point Borough, who had gone to the jetty at about 5 a.m. Sunday, according to Deputy Chief Michael Mohel of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
The bodies were found in the lower depths of the rock jetty, 96 feet away from each other, according to divers from the Point Pleasant First Aid and Emergency Squad.
