Bay Head Woman Indicted On Six Counts Of Assault By Auto
Charges stem from Feb. 13 multi-car pile up on Route 138
A Bay Head woman was indicted by a Grand Jury on six counts of assault by auto on Wednesday.
Alexandra D. Kelly, 21, was indicted on charges she drove a car recklessly and caused injury to six people, according to the indictment.
The charges stem from a Feb. 13 collision on Route 138 near the Good Sports facility. Police at the time said Kelly was driving a Dodge pickup truck eastbound around 6:40 p.m. when she struck the rear of a vehicle, pushing it into two other cars.
Four people, whose names were not released, were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, with minor injuries, Sgt. Pete Lokerson said.
Kelly was also charged at the scene with driving while intoxicated, police have said.
