Beefsteak Fundraiser for Point Beach Fire Dept. Sat.

Event is 6:30 p.m. at Elks Club

A comedy night and beefsteak dinner fundraiser for the Sandy-flooded Point Beach fire department is being held at 6:30 p.m. Sat. at the Elks Club, 820 Arnold Avenue.

The Second Annual Beefsteak Dinner is to benefit Ocean Fire Company #1 which was flooded with three feet of water during Sandy.

"We were forced to evacuate our building in the middle of the storm and spent the next week working out of Point Beach Fire Company #2’s building," said Mike Ryan, one of the volunteer firefighters.

The event includes comedian Ryan Maher as well as steak, salad, beverages and desserts.

Tickets are $40 at the door or call Scott at (201) 294-7009. The event is sponsored by Atlantic County Harley Davidson.
