BlueClaws FanFest Next Weekend
Phillies Affiliate welcomes fans back for another year
Spring Training is underway at the Major League level and next weekend the Lakewood Blueclaws will welcome fans home for their annual FanFest event.
Set for March 2nd, FanFest is the first day BlueClaws faithful will be able to buy individual game tickets as well as tickets for the South Atlantic League All-Star Game and its festivities. FanFest is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at FirstEnergy Park.
The regular season for the BlueClaws runs from April 4 to September 2 and there are lots of promotions already lined up for the team's home games. Ticket prices for the BlueClaws will also be the same last year with adult tickets set at $10 and $7 for children and seniors.
This season also marks the first for new General Manager Brandon Marano. "This has been a tough few months for our Jersey Shore Community," he said. "Keeping ticket prices at our current level, as we have done with our sponsorship packages, was something that we certainly wanted to do."
Marano said the team is looking forward to another season of what he called, "affordable, family fun," for BlueClaws fans. Fans who buy their tickets at FanFest well receive several special benefits according to the team:
- Fans will save $1 on each ticket relative to the normal individual game price of $10 (adult) or $7 (junior/senior).
- Anyone that donates non-perishable food as part of a collection drive to benefit Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, will receive a voucher for a free ticket to an April home game.
- When parents reserve a Kids Zone pass (valid at any of the 70 regular home games), they will receive one free.
- FanFest also includes ballpark tours and free food, as well as pony rides and other musical entertainment.
The team will also be collecting used cell phones that will go to Cell Phones for Soldiers and the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County will also be there to provide support for people affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Those fans who cannot make it to FanFest can begin ordering tickets online and over the phone at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 4.
