I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

I hope the same for my grandchildren

I am surprised...the Obama administration has been too busy themselves running for office...Looks like your community would even celebrate the signing of the Constitution of the united States too...when Washington was very quiet that day.
Hopefully everyone will have a good month...this month is the month I was born...and my mother too...a day apart. We celebrate the twist of two years too...1935 and 1953...the 21st and 22nd. Anyway...everyday is a special day...especially her birthday. Chow!

so if a black man & a white man criticize George Bush...then only the black man would be a racist ? if you want to truly see everyone treated equal...drop the race card, it's old already. judge and hold each person accountable for their actions.

If we are to truly judge people "not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character", then we don't treat them with kid gloves BECAUSE of their color. Obama is lousy president.

...and Carter (a white dude) wasn't so hot either.

I wondered the same thing. Also saw if its true, a statue of George Washington was covered during a MLK gathering so no one was offended. Are you kidding me?

I don't understand why blacks call whites racist when the people of America have given them all they ask. They have a whole month to celebrate and their own kwanza now. Most of all they now are given presidents day with the first black president. I believe women get the short end in this world. We haven't been president yet nor do Americans celebrate any womens birthdays

This gets really old. The days of the black oppression are GONE! Yes, Black people played a part in the history of this country; however, there are no longer and living slaves or slave owners and no one can discriminate legally due to color.. This being said, why do we need the NAACP? Isn't it racist to say that my white daughter cannot apply for a NAACP scholarship....yup. Isn't it racist to have BET television....yup...no one here starting WET television...why? Because all the people that want to keep the race card going would have a cow! Why can black people call themselves the "N" word and its ok....but as soon as a white person says it they are prejudice. I could go on for a long time giving these examples, but the truth is that the pendulum is swinging the opposite direction now. How about getting everyone of every color to start doing some parenting and get the kids off the streets and educated. As a country we need to keep ourselves united as Americans....we all bleed red and we are all the same race...humans.
