Point Borough High School parents are urging the community to take a few minutes out of their weekend to help Project Graduation be a success.
Those who ordered flowers from the Project Graduation Committee need to pick them up at the high school cafeteria between 9 a.m. and noon Saturday.
For those who neglected to order by last week's deadline, and are kind of regretting it, there is still one last chance. Come to the high school cafeteria Saturday morning and pick out some flowers, on a first come-first served basis, from those not already set aside to fill orders.
On Sunday, the Project Graduation Committee will have a car wash, "for goodwill donations" from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the STS parking lot on Bridge Avenue, said Noelle Grcic of the committee. If there are any leftover flowers, the committee will sell them at the car wash.
Also, the committee will sell water and snacks at the First Annual Riverfront Wine and Music Festival at Riverfront Park, River Road and Maxson Avenue, Point Borough on May 12.
And Petal Street Flower Company at 2319 Bridge Avenue, Point Borough, will donate to Project Graduation 10% of the proceeds from each corsage, wristlet, or boutonniere pre-ordered for the 2012 Senior Ball at Point Borough High School.
