A golf outing fundraiser will be held for the Point Pleasant Beach Public Education Foundation on Sept. 10 at Manasquan River Golf Club.
The rain date is Sept. 17.
The fundraiser is one of the biggest of the year, so organizers are encouraging the community to attend.
The foundation uses revenue from this and other fundraisers to fund projects and purchase items that the school district simply cannot afford through the local school district budget.
For example, the foundation has paid for: football field improvements; books; supplies; technology and donations to Project Graduation.
Another large-scale foundation fundraiser is an annual banquet honoring alumni. This past year it was held in May at the Crystal Point Yacht Club on River Road in Point Pleasant Borough.
