Tonight: Kids v. Cops Game at Memorial Middle School

Proceeds will be used for Point Boro's eighth grade class

The annual Kids vs. Cops basketball game will be played at Memorial Middle School tonight (Fri, March 15).

Doors open at 6:30 and the game between eighth grade students and Point Borough officers  of PBA 158 will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person, with proceeds going towards the eighth grade class dance and other end-of-year events.

As in the past, the Challengers will play before the game and during half time. There will be give-aways including T-shirts and other gifts. The main prize will be a bicycle.

This is the 10th annual event which was started by Officer Chuck Ackerman, while he worked as school resource officer, in 2004. Police have won eight times and the kids won once.
