Congratulations players, coaches and parents! Not sure how many times this has happened. I know we won the Indoor Track Group 1 title in 1978. Being such a small school, the odds are against us. Again, Congrats to all!

Slippery slope- the reputation the Beach is getting around the area is they recruit. This practice is usually done by private schools. I guess with the numbers dwindling at the Beach schools this is what they have to rely on. Let's face it, they wouldn't be as good if it were all home town players. The girls just won last night and the two who score all the points don't even live in the Beach. Just sayin.

I do agree. I don't think it is only private schools. Sure that is the usual and what most know of, but I feel there is more public schools doing the same thing and just not aware of it. Public schools is not going to announce it like the private schools do. If there was no controversy and media attention on these girls no one would have known. Now this will follow them with every step they make. Being there was a lot of reported media everyone knew about it. That is a fallacy with numbers dwindling or not enough kids joining the teams. There is plenty of beach kids that could play sports. They choose not too for so many reasons. They have loss many athletes because of politics and unfair treatment that is being played. We have kids that live here in our district that goes to other schools and playing for other school teams right now.

@ shore conf. watcher...If these girls don't live here or is not paying tuition then this schools need to be investigated by someone. How many other kids is getting away with this? It is not fair to the residents who bought and live in the beach or to their kids. But then again, It is never about the kids. It is all about the coaches, school officials, what they can get out of it all. Oh...What a world we live in.

Why does there always have to be a negative comment about something that is so good??? These kids have won state championships and are putting Beach Sports on the front pages. Get over it!

I don't know where the other comments went and how come the patch will not post them. Why give the option to post comments if you will not allow freedom to express their comments and the press. I don't know where some people get off posting what great coaches we have that don't even have kids who play sports for the school. How do they know? Until you own kid starts to play and gets slighted because of politics. I am sure they will think very different once their "OWN KIDS"gets pushed out because of the brutal parents and politics who push their kids a head of others that really don't deserve it at all. This is all about scholarships and parents getting a free ride for their own kid.
