Nancy Pazienza, Peter Hetzel and Rick Ruiz will be sworn in at the Point Borough Board of Education's organization meeting on Thursday night.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Ocean Road School.

Newcomers Pazienza and Hetzel and incumbent Ruiz emerged victorious in the November election for three seats, beating Brian Bartlett, a former board member.

Pazienza, who has been volunteering for PTO, Project Graduation and other school efforts for the past 21 years, was the top vote getter, with Peter Hetzel coming in second.

This was the first year that the board election was on the same day as the November general election. A new state law enabled school districts to switch to November.
