Police Release Sketch of Silverton News Store Robber
Incident reported earlier this week
A man suspected of holding up a Silverton news shop is still on the loose, but Toms River Police released a drawing of the suspect.
A female employee of Asby News and Varieties, Hooper Avenue, was approached by a white male and robbed of $200 at 6:30 p.m. Monday, police said. The suspect fled on foot, heading behind the plaza off Silver Bay Road.
The suspect is believed to be a white male, about 6’ 3” wearing dark clothing, sunglasses and a dark hat at the time of the robbery.
Composite Drawing Officer Chris McDowell completed the sketch and anyone with information can contact Detective Louis Santora at 732-349-0150 ext 1276.
