PTO Benefit Tonight at Martell's

Live bands perform to benefit PTOs in Point Beach, Bay Head and Lavallette

"Shore Up Our Schools," a fundraiser for school PTOs in three towns impacted by Sandy, will be held at Martell's Tiki Bar on the Boardwalk in Point Beach from 5 p.m. to midnight tonight (Sat.).

Tickets are $20 each. The price includes a buffet from 6 to 10 p.m. and live entertainment, with proceeds going to PTOs (parent teacher organizations) in Point Beach, Bay Head and Lavallette.

The evening will feature musical entertainment by The B Street Band, Big Baby Ernie; The Mike Dalton Band; Undisputed; The Nick Clemons Band; The Wedding Crashers and The Neighbors.

Tickets will be available at the door. Stephanie Salardino, who has been planning this and other benefits, said all 600 tickets she had printed in advance have already been sold.

Those who cannot be at the benefit but who want to make a donation can contact the individual school districts to get PTO contact information or can call Salardino at (908) 420-8954.
