Readers' Choice: Europa South Wins "Ethnic Restaurants" Poll by Six Votes

Voila Restaurant, also in Point Beach, comes in second

Europa South, specializing in Portuguese cuisine, narrowly won this week's "Ethnic Restaurants" Patch poll.

Europa South, on Arnold Avenue and Route 35 South, Point Beach, received 32 of the 101 votes cast. Voila Restaurant, a French restaurant that opened last year on Arnold Avenue, received 26 votes (see box below for full results).

Silver Lake Kitchen, Bridge Avenue, Point Borough, received 21 votes.

Over the past few weeks we have asked you a lot of questions about your dining choices.

We've asked where you go for the best Italian food. We've asked where you went to celebrate St. Patrick's Day and last week you told us where you like to bring the kids out to eat.

This week we asked about where you like to go for flavors a tad more adventurous than chicken nuggets and hamburgers.

Other than being named in this column, Patch is not issuing any awards to poll winners.

La Strada on Route 88 in Brick has awesome food. The menu shares an eclectic blend of Portugese and Italian specialties. Start off with the baby shrimp in garlic and oil or try their Chorizo (Spanish sausage). Very good desserts as well.

Love Europa South Restuarant! Just did a bunch of restaurant updates, the food is still amazing! They've got a great tapas menu and 1/2 price pitches of Sangria and Wednesday nights with live music too!
