Township officials welcomed residents as well as New Jersey Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno to Brick's annual ceremony commemorating those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.
This year, a candlelight vigil was held at the "Angel in Anguish" monument at Windward Beach Park.
John Badagliacca, Brett Bailey, Robert P DeVitt, Michael Diehl, John Perconti, James Sands, Thomas Sgroi, and Christopher M Traina – all Brick residents who died in the terrorist attacks that day – were honored and remembered.

Glad to see the turn out.. but heart broken, disappointed & yes even angry that Brick HS & LRMS didnt even have a moment of silence... why not include the H.S & M.S in the ceramony while they where young, it was part of their lives that changed for ever...

The 911 rememberance was a total success and brought forth the somber attitude that was befitting so dreadful an occurrence, eleven tears ago. I want to thank all of those people who attended and took part in the ceremony, it was , as I expected, very touching. A special thanks to our Mayor Steve Acropolis for setting up the program and seeing that all went well.
As a retired firefighter I ask for continued prayers for the families of those who lost a loved one with special mention to the 343 brave men of FDNYC who did their duty nowing full well that they might never see their families after that day. AMEN. May God bless them............................FIREMEN STILL MAKE HOUSE CALLS.

seems as if they did something in the younger grades NOT the older grades for the kids who may have remember what happened that day. Its good that its being taught to the younger generation & personally dont care if the school did something our not 9/11 is not just another day. Its a day our family speaks about everyday, BUT agree that there should have been a moment of silence, that was VERY disrespectful NOT to.
