Services Thursday, Friday for Detective Who Died in Head-on Collision
Tina Rambo died Monday in Route 70 crash
Funeral services for Tina E. Rambo, an Ocean County detective who died Monday in a head-on collision on Route 70, will be held tomorrow and Friday.
According to an obituary prepared by Bradley Funeral Home in Marlton, the viewing will be held 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 349 Evesboro Medford Road in Marlton.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Isaac Jogues Church. Interment is in Coleston Cemetery, Cherry Hill.
Rambo a 10-year veteran of the Ocean County Prosecutors Office, was killed in a head-on collision in the Southampton portion of Route 70 Monday morning. She was 35.
A 1994 Graduate of Toms River High School North, she was a 1996 graduate of Ocean County College, and was awarded her bachelor’s degree from Rowan University in 1997. She earned a Master in Arts degree from Seton Hall University in Human Resources Training and Development in 2004.
She was a member of the police benevolent association. Rambo worked in many units of the county throughout the years: Narcotics Strike Force; Special Victims Unit; Megan’s Law Unit; and the Family Protection Unit (Domestic Violence). Rambo recently had been assigned to the Grand Jury and Trial Unit.
Rambo was a 2000 graduate from the Ocean County Police Academy and also previously served as a part-time special police officer in Point Pleasant Beach during the summers of 1999 and 2000.
Rambo was married to Roy Rambo, Jr., and she is survived by her 3- and 6-year-old children, Roy III and Brody; her mother and father John and Jeanine (Florio) Liston; and a brother John Liston, Jr. and two sisters, Tara Cunningham and Jeanine Liston. A longtime resident of Toms River, she resided in Marlton. She was born May 5, 1976.
