While I don't quite think "nuthouse" hotel is the proper name, they answer is no. The Best Western is across Route 70 from Exit 88 of the Parkway. This is not the hotel at Rtes 70 and 9.

These are the hotels that were given out by FEMA for flood victims to stay at.No wonder, you can enter, but you will never leave, 'cause they will shoot you. I would rather be homeless than shot at. That is why claims for flood housing has dropped, no one wants to stay in hell. We have already been to pergatory by the devastation to our homes !!

"The right of the people to keep and bear...arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country..." (James Madison, I Annals of Congress 434 [June 8, 1789])
“Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." (James Madison, The Federalist Papers #46 at 243-244)
“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States" (Noah Webster in `An Examination into the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution', 1787, a pamphlet aimed at swaying Pennsylvania toward ratification, in Paul Ford, ed., Pamphlets on the Constitution of the United States, at 56(New York, 1888))

"Editor Elaine Piniat elaine.piniat@patch.com"

So sarcastic and misleading postings by this person are an organized product of Patch?

I valued the local news provided by the Patch system. But have to say I am a little surprised to see one of the more caustic posters in the comment section is part of the Patch editorial staff. Somehow that seems improper.

I guess when I clicked on your name it took me to Lacy Patch where you must be registered and Elaine Piniat happens to be the editor in Lacy and has her picture and e-mail at the top of the page devoted to your postings.

This is good as I really find Patch informative for local news and also find a lot of the remarks in the comment section to be informative. Your political leanings would not be proper postings for an editor. Your sarcasm would be very unprofessional for an individual representing Patch. The Patch would have to keep their remarks factual and accurate. So obviously you should have no official position.

My apologies to Ms. Piniat for mistaking her for a zelot.

That is a media and politically made up name.
Machine guns are banned almost everywhere for years.
And the few places that allow are places that your neighbor is like a mile away. And getting one for most people is almost impossible.
Semi automatics have been around over 100 years.
And changing clips takes two seconds.
We had an assualt ban for years. It did NOTHING except hinder law abiding citizens. So it was ABOLISHED.
If you need to learn more about this just ask me since many of you know very little.

marynary....seriously? a machete? Kicking down your front door? Yup, everyday occurance. Protect your family, yeah. guns should and need regulation. Everyone of you have rights, but they are regulated. Not taken away. Get over it. Be a mature, intelligent adult. but, then it's scary thinking some of you actually have guns. Even drive a car. A deadly vehicle. The only reason a car isn't used more often in deadly force is because of the sefishness of the culprit. The drive would get hurt. A gun is a chicken's weapon. A power idiot uses one. You pull the trigger and you are not deliberately hurt. It would be the other persons fault for pulling the other trigger if you get hurt. It's a blameless item. It points like your finger would, at the OTHER person. Not yourself and you wouldn't be at all responsible for anything. Guns have no place in a civilized society. But that's assuming the people are tempered and rational. Huh....only in America will you find so many irrational selfcentered egotists.

New laws won't be retro? The NJ "assault weapon" ban made the possession of certain weapons and magazine over 15 rounds ILLEGAL. Lawfully purchased items were declared VERBOTEN and possession was made a crime. The Constitutional right to private property was shredded.... In California, the law banned future purchases, but items that were legally obtained were grandfathered and remained legal to own. Here anyones property was criminalized if they owned such things...

Ammonium nitrate, used in Oklahoma City bombing, is regulated to 25 lbs per purchase and tracked, mcveigh had 4000 lbs. I do agree that you can't blame everything on devices sick people use, you just can prevent mass amounts of killing and injuries using common sense. I have not read or heard of an article in a long time where someone prevented a crime because of a gun. I have heard of hundreds of accidentally or deliberate shootings causing injury or death. Common sense should prevail when it comes to guns, I for one would feel less safe with a gun in my home.

Studues indicate that firearms are used more than 2 million times a year for personal protection, and that the presence of a firearm, without a shot bieng fired, prevents prevents crime in many istances.shooting can only be justified where crime constitutes an immediate imment threat t o life limb and in some cases proprty.

Ashamed, you have not read about guns preventing crimes cuz the liberal media usually only reports the bad stuff with guns. Or at least what they can make look bad towards gun owners.
There are literally hundreds and hundreds of cases of it happening. It happens daily across the US. ( I can site you quite a few if needed).
Not to mention the crimes that never took place or were prevented. Just think of cops carrying guns. People dont commit crimes around them. That would be stupid. As far as the nitrate being sold in small quantities, you dont just need nitrate to make bombs. You can use other stuff too.
And again, its not outlawed its only regulated in large quantities. NOT outlawed. Which was my point.
I thought he used fuel not nitrate. But same point.
And if u feel LESS safe with a gun then DONT buy one.
Just PLEASE dont try and prevent your neighbor from buying one. Just god forbid you are screaming for help from an intruder in the middle if the night you will surely be preying that he comes running to help you WITH his gun.
Just remember the life he saved MAY be YOUR own!

Mental health is a big issue but crime is on the increase since the cops shut down about ten years ago. You were so concerned about profiling 14 percent of the population that you caused the police to stop doing any interdiction of drugs and guns.

They are flowing into the area since the cops have no power and have been bullied into the corner by the threat of arrest and persecution by the goverment.

The last mall shooting in California ended when a citizen with a legal handgun approached the AR wielding nutjob. Not a cop or security guard. When he faced an armed threat, the loony turned his gun on himself and terminated the incident. Only 2 innocents were hit. If not for the armed citizen who selflessly intervened, that could have been very much worse.

Is it not against an individuals rights to be locked up against their will if they are, at the time, deemed not a threat to themselves or anyone else? It's only after the fact that everyone can then agree that the individual was mentally ill and dangerous.

I do agree with you about right wing wacks.

good thing we have those like bluebeam and captain ed who are so highly trained that they could use an ar 15 in a panicked crowd and manage to hit the shooter dead center in the back of the head with a rifle that fires 6 rounds a second. i mean with guys like them i,m sure no bystanders will get hit. cops in new york city shot 9 people trying to take down a lone shooter outside the empire st building but we all know they didnt go thru the same training bluebeam and capt ed did.

I am worried about the expansion of the government to the point where they employ the local police. You people can't let the govt. brainwash you into literally handing your weapons over. every citizen has the right to keep and bear arms. someone got shot, oh well. take that guy and lock him up case closed. if the guys didn't have a gun, he would have used a knife. if someone wants to hurt you they will whether it's a gun or not. remember the mafia hit decades ago, they clubbed the guy to death w/ golf clubs right on a sidewalk. it's a shame that people want to demonize the tool of the crime instead of the person committing the crime, that's the real threat in society.

what this country needs is more people taught about guns and gun safety, not running and trying to take away everything.

heres a few ideas there peanut butter the bills currently being proposed are " the stop online ammunition act" which would only give authorized dealers the option of buying ammunition online. the movie shooter ordered thousands of rounds online with simply a credit card . " the ban all large capacity feeding devices act" which would prevent people like the movie shooter who only needed a credit card to buy online the 100 round drum he shot 70 people with. " the keep kids safe act" which prohibits the ownership of guns by those who committed sex crimes against children. "the closing gun show loophole act" which would prevent just anyone from selling weapons to anyone most times without even asking for an ID . 40% of legally purchased guns are doing without any background check mostly at these shows . " the preventing gun violence act" which makes it a felony for anyone to own a gun if they were convicted of violent acts as juveniles. but to pb here all this means is uncle sam coming thru his back window to take his guns away. as for life here at home its great . thanks for asking.

Frank you have been running off at the mouth for some time now, but i guess i should give you a little credit you finally made one good point. I closing of the gun show and any private sale that doesn't require a background check needs to happen as well as any person convicted of a violent crime could lose the right to own a gun. Those I can agree with but what id the difference if i walk into a gun shop with my credit card and buy ammo as apposed to ordering it online. what do you think the gun shop owner isn't going to sell it to me. I'm all for reasonable gun control that will help to solve a problem but all of the " feel good gun legislation" that the government want to pass is not going to get guns out of criminals hands. the proof is easy to find you haven't been able to own an AK47 in most state since God knows when but if you take a trip down to the Camden evidence lockup I can assure you that you can fine atleast one there. Try to wrap your head around this if someone is looking to break the law with a gun they really don't care if it legal to have it.

Nj Ghost sorry but you are kinda wrong and I'm a believer in my right so I do know the law. In NJ it is legal to complete a person to person gun sale " of a long gun only" with out a background check this is how most of the people selling guns at a gun show get around a back ground check. a hand gun you still need a permit but for a rifle or shotgun its just a copy of your firearms id, a piece of paper with both the buyer and the sellers signature and you are on your way. doesn't even have to involve the police or the state. And as a responsible gun owner this does need to change.

The 1994 ban was in fact called the Federal Assault Weapons Ban. It expired in 2004. The legal term assault weapon included certain specific semi automatic firearm models by name including the AR 15 the TEC 9 non select fire models of the AK47 and Uzi's. The assault weapon term was not only used in the title it was clearly defined in the body of the law.

mark......You forgot the most important part and the part that is the lynchpin.....An assault rifle is a selective fire (either fully automatic or burst-capable)......already banned....non select fire weapons were and are circumvented by manufacturing them under another name which made them legal....done mainly with ak's they are simply semi automatic rifles no longer a sub machine gun or with sub machine gun capabilities.

WAIT A MIN.........nJGoast has said more than a few times that assault weapon was a media made up term but yet after I talk about the term used in a federal law he says I forgot something and goes on to explain what an assault weapon is even farther than I did above, unreal! And by the way I did not forget what I put above was all I needed there is in fact about two paragraphs after what I said about what makes an assault weapon in the law.

No you asked frank rizzo to give you the legal def of assault weapon, you said it was made up by the media. You said it had no legal meaning. You said those weapons did not exsist. Than I state the wording of the federal law showing the words in it you asked frank about and then you add to it by stating even more words used in the law to define the term assault weapon.

yeah crazy ideas jersey toast like preventing nitwits who cant read or spell from owning an arsenal. i guess anyone who is very outraged over 6 yr olds being torn to pieces is obsessed according to you. hey why dont we all just do it your way and operate under the rest of the constitution the way it was in the 1700s? . i,m sure you would be thrilled bringing back slavery and not letting women vote. that was in the constitution at the same time the 2nd ammendment was written. good luck with all that. pb asks to name any country that removed guns from its citizens and what happened . here you go pb scotland after the 1995 shooting that killed 15 schoolkids. guns were banned in that country and in 17 yrs they havent had one homicide by gun. britain did the same thing with 40 deaths a year. in america 10,000 people a year die from bullets and those numbers really add up quickly when using toys like your ar 15. yes nj ghost and pb your way is working out so much better.

I can't say if your stats are true or not, but assuming they are, Chicago is way up on the murder scale, and they have a total gun ban. Banning guns will leave them in the hands of only police and criminals and military. If the entire country bans guns, then we will still have them courtesy of the black market, think Columbian drug trade, to name just one. A ban simply will not cure this ill - we are not Scotland or Britain. We need a more realistic solution. (not that I have it - but there is no reason to invoke a so-called solution that cannot possibly work)

Actually the original version written before the Declaration of Independence saids... That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defence of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided, as dangerous to liberty; and that, in all cases, the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.

yeah nj ghost i,m a joke and meanwhile your talking about " obama's droans" clearly the ability to red, comprehend or spell wasnt involved in your gun ownership. brian dimeo as far as me running my mouth thats why its america and not some country that beheads you for doing so. you are correct on the gun show loopholes and there is a completely unregulated secondary market of people buying weapons person to person where there are no checks. i went to the wawa last night and while getting gas i observed two pick up trucks in the parking lot. the one guy got out and had something long in a camoflauge type of bag. they were looking at whatever was inside that bag with a flashlight for a while then exchanged some cash and drove off their seperate ways. i,m guessing its not how the usual drug transaction goes down in full view but guessing from the elmer fudd type of hunting bag it was in i,m willing to bet it fired bullets. and no nj ghost i dont know if they were .223 or 556mm . i guess the caliber really wont matter all that much to the kid or store worker that happens to have the bullets lodged in their chests. brian dimeo the difference between buying ammon in a store as opposed to online is that online no one is seeing the guy who has been awake on meth for 5 days and is now mad at the world or the criminal cops may have issued wanted flyers for. my guess is gun stores dont even bother looking at wanted posters. after all all cash is green right? .

AS spoken above the loop holes we can only blame the law makers & 1 step back the people that vote them in.. We should be able to bear arms but, those weapons need to be restricted .If you have a legal permit .If you go to the range & practice ..The professionally trained need 3 bullets More than likely the criminal is not a good shot & will need to get close or just a lucky shot. I am sure the guy in the hotel shooting didnt use a legal weapon ,( The legal weapon is the registered owner , not the son ,neighbor , other family ) It needs to be properly secured..

Phony mayor of Philadelphia (deceased) Stop relying on the statistics of a corrupt justice dept...They themselves are felons and not to be trusted (fast and furious) Usa today who in their editorial page last summer stated that they will support the confiscation of guns....They consider a car theft with a legal gun in it as a gun theft AND car theft.... Think about it ,a gun stolen from a home is taken by a thief ...of course it goes directly into the hands of a criminal the thief is the criminal...DUH...Your statement as for my odds of being shot by a gun owner is no more accurate as one day you will be cut by a knife or burned on a stove or drown in a swimming pool....Life has its dangers...learn to live a little....one more thought that may have been brought to your attention from time to time...Ban guns and i guess all the criminals will simply turn theirs in right?..I often wonder what the rape reduction would be in this country if only women had the right to carry. Dizzy Rizzy, maybe it's time you started thinking about the millions of aborted babies and not for the safety of the idiots who have then ripped limb from limb from their wombs in the name of rights all because you and misguided lying old drooling idiots such as yourself can't find a better cause to usurp the rights of others.....How many unborn babies have you approved to be aborted in your family? Are you comfortable with that? Don't knock my right to have a gun until your problem is addressed hypocrite.

This video is dedicated to the "geniuses" who think that guns are the ONLY problem we have. We had such "geniuses" a hundred years ago who got the country to ban alcohol. All you fools are doing is helping to make criminal groups stronger. Then it was the mob. Today it would be "gang bangers". I know your tactics. When you ban the guns, nothing will change then you'll ban knives, etc. When that doesn't work, you'll have forced institutionalization of the mentally ill, followed by forced medication, electro-shock, lobotomies, and then the "final solution". As Rahm Emanuel and Adolph Hitler believed, "never let a good crisis go to waste". Socialist, National Socialist (nazi), what's the difference? A fully thought multi phase plan is what you need. A one note song does nothing but irritate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxRlpRcorEU

Blanks. Also did you notice how no guns had a recoil? (Kick)....Kinda silly when you consider all those so called celebrities looked so serious when in fact many have a carry permit or armed body guards....Thanks, as I said it was informative but not in the way they intended it to be.

Hey, it's about Hollywood where everything is staged. Those who want new gun laws to replace the ones that are ignored by criminals now won't realize the technical flaws because of their lack of knowledge or should I say ignorance. But of course that won't make any difference due to their narrow mindedness. They say what they say and the facts are irrelevant.
