Snooki and Deena from MTV's 'Jersey Shore' Lunched and Drank at Jenkinson's

The cast and crew were polite and well-behaved, says Jenkinson's marketing director

Snooki and Deena from MTV's Jersey Shore lunched and drank at Jenkinson's Pavilion as they were being filmed for the show, a Jenkinson's official said on Sunday.

"They had lunch in the back of the pavilion, had a couple of drinks and went on the boardwalk," said Marilou Halvorsen, Jenkinson's Boardwalk Director of Marketing, referring to Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Deena Nicole Cortese visiting Jenkinson's for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon.

She said the cast and crew arrived around 2 or 2:30 p.m and left around 4 or 4:30 p.m. She said Deena also went swimming at some point during the visit.

"There were no problems, they were polite and pretty well-behaved," Halvorsen said. "The crew was very nice, very polite, respectful, not demanding."

Each of the women had a security guard with them, Halvorsen said.

Last summer, Snooki had drawn attention, and a ticket, at Seaside Heights when she was stumbling about on the sand.

Snooki was arrested in Seaside Heights on July 30, 2010 and pleaded guilty to disturbing the quiet enjoyment of the beach, which is a violation of a Seaside Heights ordinance. She was sentenced to two days of community service and a $533 fine.

When asked if there was any signs that Snooki was possibly "disturbing the quiet enjoyment of the beach" on Saturday, Halvorsen said, "She definitely had a few drinks, but there was no issue. I wasn't there the entire time, but I don't think the police were called. There really weren't any problems."

Police said on Sunday there was no call or problem regarding the MTV guests.

The crew arrived by van while Snooki and Deena arrived and departed by taxi, Halvorsen said.

Halvorsen said the cast and crew from "Jersey Shore" visited Jenkinson's last year at the end of the summer.

"But I wasn't there then, this is my first interaction with them," she said.

Halvorsen said the crew had given Jenkinson's about an hour notice and that she called police just to let them know, simply because a celebrity cast and crew would be in town.

"They do tend to get a reaction, so anytime I know something like this will be happening, I always try to call the police just to let them know," she said. "I don't want them to be caught off-guard."

When asked if the two cast members signed any autographs or talked to the public, Halvorsen said, "Yeah, they kind of talked to people. They pretty much just did their own thing. They were really like anyone else having lunch on a Saturday afternoon, except they had a camera crew with them."

None of the cast or crew members happened to mention why they chose Jenkinson's as Saturday's lunch spot.

Why does the Patch keep on reporting about this trashing crew. It's not news and from the comments nobody wants to hear it anyway.

Why don't we switch it up a bit this year. How about the shows cast and crew stay in point this summer season. Being that they bring so much revenue to the area in which they film in, let's share the wealth. That's just the kind, nice person that I want to be.

Evidently it's newsworthy when "There were no problems, they were polite and pretty well-behaved." What great acting!

Now please stop covering those airheads and give us real news.

From what I read, "real" news is given a lot. I see nothing wrong with reporting something on the lighter side. It provides a much-needed break from negativity of "real" news.

Great! Go to an animal shelter and report on all of the adoptions and animals that found a happy, lovable home. This trailer trash doesn't deserve the time of day. I hope that you didn't get to close to the sleaze bag. She is probably carrying all kinds of diseases.

The "well behaved and polite" is what makes it newsworthy (LOL).

They don't enhance our character or meaning of the FAMILY Oriented amusements and boardwalk. Trash begets trash. You want to make our reputation whole again then stop them from frequenting our resorts with they phoney show.
