Most people might not be thinking about turkeys until the end of November, but the Point Boro First Aid Squad is hoping to change that.

The all-volunteer squad is holding a "Turkey Tune Up," its First Annual 5K and Kids Fun Run, as a fundraiser, rain or shine, on Nov. 3.

The route, on the Point Pleasant Borough High School track, is course-certified and walkers are welcome.

All proceeds go to the Point Boro squad.

The entry fee is $25.00 if paid before Oct. 15 and $35 if paid after Oct. 15.

There will be a party afterwards at the Shore House on Route 88, just west of the bridge.
