UPDATE: Winter Weather Advisory Issued Through Sunday Afternoon

Up to three inches of snow possible

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of the local area including Monmouth, Ocean, Middlesex and Mercer Counties.

Depending on where you live anywhere from a light dusting to close to four inches of snow could fall starting tonight and lasting through Sunday afternoon.

The snow is expected to start early this evening with a light amount of precipitation before getting heavier overnight and into the morning. By Sunday afternoon the snow should be light before tapering off.

Untreated roads and sidewalks could become slow as a result of the snow which could make for hazardous driving conditions according to the advisory.

After those 2 nasty, snowy winters 2 years ago a snowblower & 4 wheel drive Jeep have been the best insurance policy for no snow. So far so good since neither have been needed. Can't wait long enough to see crabgrass again.

Funny, I was thinking that I wouldn't even mind seeing that pervasive clover springing up in the lawn...anything green is better than too much of the white stuff right about now.

I agree with you. The snowblower was worth every penny paid if you never have to use it. I really don't mind the little snows that we have had lately.

To bad townships don't save the money when we have less snow and they don't have to spend a lot for plowing/salting. They should take that money and save it in snow removal account for the future snow...but of course they don't do that..they say..look here we have extra money what can we spend it on!

I am praying for two feet of snow to cover up the war zone look I live with. Maybe I should ask for a reduction in my taxes for having to look at this garbage dump day in and day out. How's that sound, Mr. Mayor?
