Bennett Indoor Complex Roof In Toms River Collapses
High winds tear what is known as "The Bubble" on Hooper Avenue
A power outage coupled with high winds has torn the roof of the Bennett Indoor Complex on Hooper Avenue, officials say.
The complex is known as "The Bubble" and is the home of numerous sports activities next to Toms River Intermediate East.
Toms River Regional Schools spokesperson Tammi Millar said the "bubble" has collapsed.
"It's in the down position," she said.
First came a power outage around 4 p.m., then high winds compromised the structure, she said, leading to its collapse.
"It appears it ripped around the scoreboard as it came down," she said. "There is a gash."
Millar said the reports are preliminary. No injuries were reported.
The facility was closed at the time. "There is a split in the bubble and it collapsed around it." she said.

That 'building' was a huge waste of money for the tax payers and has had one problem after another since the day it was erected. It was also ugly. Take it down and build something better if it's needed....

Funny! The final end of the Ritacco Era. Not funny for the track runners at the beginning of their season. Uh oh! hope its insured...lots of costs, if it can be fixed, and all that lost revenue from events...so they say. Emergency funds from the state for repair?...still taxes.

The Bubble was a great gift to the kids. Now if it could be profitable and uncorrupt? It would be awesome!

Loved that bubble wish we could offer that to our children down here in Lacey township for winter sports. Don't take everything for granted!

That bubble was the perfect example of the corruption that pervaded the Toms River School District under Mike Ritacco. I would rather teach my children about ethics than put up a bubble for their use anyday...

I had planned to make my future there this winter. The loss of the bubble will have a tremendous effect on my track season. I'm not the only one

Cry me a river -- people lost their homes in this hurricane. No one cares if you can't get a track scholarship. Go to OCC instead.

I agree with Kelly bigger problems then your bubble. I hope they build it bigger and stronger with ins money! They can charge more for the meets i would pay it.

I have raced there my 3 years of indoor track, I am now a senior. All though it did not look the best, it was very convenient for meets. There is no other place to hold large high school meets like the "bubble" did. The venue was big and the school was conveniently right next to it for bathroom use. It is sad to see people trash talking it when there were so many memories created for people who are student athletes like me.

There are many deep breathing exercises you can learn to strengthen the intercostal muscles, abdominal wall http://coachfactoryoutletonsell.com muscles and lower back muscles which will all enable you to keep your diaphragm in a flexed position. A flexed diaphragm gives the singer the control of a resistant, steady breath necessary for effortless singing techniques. The air maintained in the lungs is the force and power underneath the breath released for sound.
