Wall Traffic Stops Yield DWI, Warrant Arrests
Four charged after motor vehicle stops over the weekend
Four nearby residents were arrested by Wall police over the weekend after traffic stops.
- Michael Pizzulli, 26, of Oceanport was charged at 2 a.m. Sunday after police said he was driving while under the influence on Route 34. Pizzulli was initially stopped for a motor vehicle violation.
Pizzulli was released to a family member with a pending court date. Patrolman Chris Gallagher was the arresting officer.
- Debra Tarantino, 27, of Brick was arrested on a warrant after a traffic stop at 9:30 p.m. Sunday on Route 35.
Police said Tarantino also was charged with being illegally in possession of prescription medication. She is being held on $8,000 bail at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.
Patrolman Vincent Mazzacarro was the arresting officer.
- Arianna Cooper, 27, of Brick was charged with DWI after a motor vehicle accident 6:45 a.m. Saturday on Megill Road.
Cooper was released to a friend and has a pending court date. Patrolman Gary Fuller was the arresting officer.
- Austin Halverson, 19, of Point Pleasant was charged with obstruction after police responded to Route 34 at 6:15 a.m. Saturday, where Halverson had struck a deer, police said.
Halverson has a pending court date. Patrolman Todd Verrecchia was the arresting officer.
