What's Closed and What's Not on Presidents' Day

No trash or recycling collection today in Boro and Beach

 

 

Today is Presidents' Day and most public institutions are closed or on a different schedule.

Formerly known as George Washington's birthday, Presidents' Day is a federal holiday.

Borough Halls in Point Borough and Point Beach, Ocean County and state government, all branches of the Ocean and Monmouth county libraries and post offices are closed.

In Point Borough and Point Beach, there will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday. Any collections normally done on Mondays will be done on Tuesday this week.

Point Borough public schools are closed on Monday and Point Beach public schools have a half day of school on Monday and Tuesday.

The Ocean County Vocational Technical (OCVTS) school district is open on Monday to help make up for "Sandy" days when schools were closed (see attached PDF for full, updated schedule).

NJ Transit will operate an enhanced weekend rail schedule on Monday. For more information, click here.

Some banks are open, some are closed. If you need bank services beyond what an ATM or online transaction can provide, you may want to check the bank website or call before visiting.
