Golden Elks' Pop Warner Holds its Annual "Beer and Wing Night"

What's that?  You can't think of anything to do tonight (Oct. 28)?  Well, have I got the answer for you!

The Golden Elks Pop Warner Football and Cheer Organization will be holding its annual "Beer and Wing Night" fundraising event at the Point Pleasant Elks Lodge on Arnold Avenue in the Beach from 7-11 p.m.

For your $20 entry fee, you will be able to enjoy a delicious dinner and dance the night away to a live DJ!

The menu includes mouth-watering sausage and peppers, chicken breasts dressed in a delectable lemon sauce served with artichoke hearts and red peppers, scrumptious pasta with sauce, tasty macaroni salad, colorful Parisian salad, rolls, and of course the traditional wings!

Also included in the ticket price will be beer, soda, water, coffee and desserts.  Wine is available via a cash bar.

A highlight early in the evening will be a chili contest.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample six different homemade chili recipes offered by Golden Elks members.

Voting will take place between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. First and second place winners will be announced. It's going to be a hot contest in every sense of the word!

Along with the full dinner and chili contest, guests will be able to purchase tickets for a gift auction.

A variety of baskets donated by the Golden Elks football teams and cheer squads as well as local businesses will be displayed ranging in value from $50-over $200!  All proceeds to benefit the GEPW progam.

The 2011 Super Raffle winning tickets will be pulled to close out the evening.  Third, second, and first place winners will be announced.

What a great night out to help support the youth football and cheer participants of the Golden Elks Pop Warner organization.

The group has completed its 49th season and is looking forward to celebrating its 50th year in 2012!  With your generous support, they will be able to continue the tradition!

For more information, contact me at 732-259-9386.  Hope to see you there!

The Elks is a worthwhile organization and I am glad I was a part of it for so many years. Here's to many more Beer and Wing Nights!
