The Point Pleasant Youth Baseball and Softball Association has gained another championship banner to display at McKennan Lake Field Complex.
The quest for the championship began with a 13-5 victory over the Brick American Bulldogs on July 9th followed by another win against the Bayshore Titans on July 10th.
Their second win earned them a berth in the championship game on Thursday versus Brick.
Point jumped to a 7-1 early lead and, with the tying run at the plate in the final inning, held on to win by posting a final score of 7-4.
Throughout the tournament, the Point All-Stars outscored their opponents 31-10.
The players and coaches will be traveling to Marlton on Friday, July 20, where they will face Medford in the first round of the Cal Ripken Nine-Year-Old State Tournament. Best of luck Point!
