Yes, pensions are an entitlement. People took or take public servant jobs knowing full well theyRead Morewil l never make a big salary. They take these jobs for job security, a retirement pension, and a rock solid benefits package. Christie has done nothing but attack public employees while in office, and he has attacked the little man, not the real problems in NJ like overpaid administrators and department heads. These people are the real problems. Christie doesn't have the balls to go after these people. He's a pathetic politician. His 2% tax cap is a joke. It's not a hard cap, it's a soft cap with more loopholes than a slice of Swiss cheese. I really hope he does get nominated to run for president because Hilary Clinton will crush him and this comes from a Republican.

Penn Cross, I disagree with you. Manasquan's, Spring Lake and Asbury all have a better downtownRead Moreatmo sphere than pt. pleasant. Pt. Pleasant is outdated like their hanging snow flakes that they couldn't afford to put up or take down. The million dollar bathroom being built is not in the downtown area where it is needed the most.

FIMF - good point about the baseball analogy. I shoulda said that when an infielder makes a greatRead Morepl ay and throws the ball away, it is a half play. The lights were put up and not taken down. Half a play or better yet, half assed job. As to the ACLU, yes they would come to town to compel compliance. The only problem is, our Rep. Dominated council decided to challenge the ACLU, lost and paid a 12K fine once before . Remember the "prayer" debacle? I'm sure they would do it again. As to Spooner, it's a she?? Have a Mr. Happy Easter!!
