There is still a coastal flooding warning in effect until 9 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

The updated forecast for today and tomorrow from the National Weather Service for the greater Point Pleasant area is as follows:

  • Today: Scattered rain and snow showers before 10am, then scattered rain showers. Cloudy, with a high near 44. Windy, with a north wind 25 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Tonight: Rain and snow likely before 1am, then snow. Low around 32. Breezy, with a north wind 20 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
  • Friday: Rain and snow likely before 10am, then rain likely between 10am and 1pm, then a chance of rain showers after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a north wind around 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
  • Friday Night: Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 33. Breezy, with a north wind 15 to 20 mph.
