On Sunday morning, December 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. the Point Pleasant Presbyterian Church will be offering a special "Blue Christmas" worship service. As the holidays approach, many people experience challenges after the death of a loved one or other life-stresses, emotional trauma, relationship challenges, difficulties in school, or economic stress. Others can feel overwhelmed with holiday expectations or worries about the future. "Blue Christmas" is a peaceful haven in the midst of the typical holiday merrymaking that gives people who have experienced losses permission to simply be themselves and not have to pretend that this is, for them, a holiday season like any other. This quiet, prayerful service will include music, scripture, stories, reflection and healing prayer. All are welcome - and please invite others who might find this service helpful.
