Dr. Wilton will bring a special Mother's Day message on John 15:9-17: "A MOTHER'S JOY" - "I have said these things to you," says Jesus, "so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete"(John 15:11). When we think of the gifts an ideal mother passes along to her children, it's the gift of love that first comes to mind. We could just as well make a case for joy, as a significant gift, handed down from parent to child. Do we who are parents ever share our deepest joy with our offspring? And do we teach them how to discover joy in a world that seems, so often, to be a world of woe? And what does it mean for joy to be "complete"? Come to church on Mother's Day and find out!
