Fundraiser was Held Sunday for Local Mom with Cancer

A fundraiser for a Point Borough mother with stage four cervical cancer was held at the Elks at 820 Arnold Ave. on Sunday.

Proceeds from the event, featuring a DJ, door prizes and a gift auction, will help pay for medical expenses for Rosa Perez, a single mother of six children.

Perez's insurance coverage has been exhausted and medical costs are mounting, according to her family.

Tickets are $20 per person, except those younger than 13 are free.
