Though some forecast models have predicted an offshore storm could track a bit closer to shore than originally thought, the National Weather Service is continuing to call for a minimal amount of snow to fall Tuesday night.

But despite a lack of predicted snowfall, temperatures will be frigid.

The high Tuesday is forecast to reach only 19 degrees, with lows Tuesday night into Wednesday dropping to about 13 degrees. Some snow will fall after clouds roll in by Tuesday afternoon, but the National Weather Service's latest guidance calls for less than an inch in Ocean County.

In extreme southeastern New Jersey, two inches could fall.

The sun will return Wednesday, though there will be little relief from the frigid temperatures. The NWS forecast calls for the mercury to top out in the upper 20s.
