Frozen Point Beach Boardwalk in Midst of Renovation

A major snow storm and plummeting temperatures left the beachfront and boards in a coat of white, hiding shuttered boardwalk rides and the ongoing renovation of Point Pleasant Beach's boardwalk under inches of snow.

The blocks between Martell's and the police substation are cordoned off as pilings are driven in and new boards are lain.

Earlier this week only small segments of the boardwalk were cleared of snow, and debris from an above-average high tide during Friday and Saturday's flood warning were left on the beachfront.

Check out our photo gallery to see the snowy boardwalk and where reconstruction currently is underway.
