Jersey Shore Roller Girls Collecting Donations for Point Paws at Saturday's Bout

Food, supplies and monetary donations needed for animal welfare committee

The Shore's toughest team, the Jersey Shore Roller Girls, are gearing up for another bout this Saturday at Convention Hall in Asbury Park. Philly's "Block Party" team will be taking our girls on head to head.

The Roller Girls are supporting the Animal Welfare Committee of Point Pleasant Borough, who are a community involvement program working to protect, care for, and provide a safe and healthy environment for the cats/kittens in Point Borough and Point Beach.

They are always in need of help whether it be volunteering or donations.

The JSRG are asking fans to bring a donation with them to this Saturday's bout. All items are appreciated, but here are some that are needed: Friskies wet canned food, Purina Dry cat chow, Fancy Feast or Iams wet canned kitten food, Purina dry kitten chow, Kitten mother replacement milk, powder or liquid, bottles, both clay litter and scoopable litter, laundry and dish detergent and paper towels.

Monetary donations are always welcome and helps with the heavy cost of spays/neuters and veterinary care.

Saturday's bout also pairs with the Wonder Bar (Ocean Ave, Asbury Park) for the bout after-party. Across the street from Convention Hall, the Wonder Bar will offer those bout attendees with a wristband that waives a cover charge. The Roller Girls will be on hand and fully energized for any fans that want to keep the party going!
