Twice canceled for inclement weather, the annual tree lighting event for Point Pleasant Borough will not be rescheduled.
The Point Boro Recreation Department confirmed that after the second evening of inclement weather last week, the township would cancel its festivities, which usually include student carolers and a visit from Santa in Community Park.
The original dates of Dec. 6 and 8 were both canceled due to wintry weather.
