Today is Monster Dash for First Aid

Monster Dash 5K in Point Beach benefits local first aid squad

Join the Third Annual Monster Dash 5K today to help the Point Pleasant First Aid and Emergency Squad.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the event begins at 10:30 a.m.

The event is a fundraiser for the volunteer squad, also known locally as "Point Beach EMS" which serves Point Pleasant Beach, Bay Head and Mantoloking and also provides supplemental assistance in Point Borough and other neighboring towns.

The run begins on the Point Beach boardwalk by Jenkinson's Aquarium, runs north to the Manasquan Inlet, then south through town and ends at the start, according to the squad. The route is on the map (see attached PDF).

In prior years, the event has attracted runners from all over Ocean and Monmouth counties.

There will be lots of prizes and fun for all. Local residents are encouraged to decorate their homes in Halloween style and cheer on runners as they pass.

A poster promoting the event and a registration form are also attached as PDFs to this story.

I doubt it. People love to complain :) Myself included I suppose.

Too bad. I don't complain where it will do no good. I do complain when it can change things for theRead More better. Don't waste your time or be negative.
