Point Pleasant Beach Mayor Vincent Barrella issued a proclamation honoring Thomas Cherry, the owner of Cherry Electric and a long-time volunteer in the community. Cherry had served as former councilman from 1958-68, and is a life member of the fire department. He also served on the Point Pleasant Beach First Aid Squad and the dive team.
