Point Beach Boardwalk Ranked One of America's Best
Seaside Heights, other NJ towns also make the list
What we've always known close to home has been confirmed by a popular food and drink website.
The Daily Meal ranked Point Pleasant Beach's boardwalk one of the best in America – specifically, number 27 out of 31.
The website ranked food options along boardwalks nationwide and used five criteria to judge the results: social media following, quantity of restaurants along the boardwalk or in the boardwalk area, restaurant ratings and variety, plus the overall atmosphere of the boardwalk area.
"Our final category was editorial judgment, where we considered all of these elements, plus commentary that floated around the social sites surrounding these beach institutions," the site's editors said in a statement.
Eight New Jersey boardwalks made the list, including nearby Seaside Heights in 14th place and Wildwood in third place.
Nationwide, the Mission Beach boardwalk in San Diego took first place.
