Point Pleasant Beach Police Increase Workload As Partiers Stay Past The Weekend

When asked by the council whether the commotion surrounded a particular establishment or bar, the chief said it was related to multiple "happy hours."

The summer season is running strong in Point Pleasant Beach and visitors are staying well past the weekend. And while beachgoers are extending their stay, the police department is increasing its workload.

According to Police Chief Kevin O’Hara, there has been an increased volume of activity in the borough on Mondays, most notably with alcohol-related cases.

The issues arise from early afternoon until 8 p.m. on Central Ave and Parkway, O’Hara said Tuesday night at the town council meeting.
