St. Mary's to Host Independence Day Celebration

Join members of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Riverfront Park as they host their first ever 4th of July Celebration!

On Friday July 4th, St. Mary’s By-The-Sea will be hosting an Independence Day Celebration. The event will start at 4:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m. The event will be held at Riverfront Park, located in Point Pleasant Boro on River Road.

“Food, friends, festivities and fireworks will be enjoyed by all,” church spokesperson Lynn Schambach said, reports The Star News Group.

The free event is open to the public and according to The Star News Group “Rich Brecka will be offering a full menu from Shore Fresh Seafood.” Other food and drinks will be available, including a beer and wine garden.

The Eddie Testa Band and Ron Brooks both be performing, and Brooks is expected to do a rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” and “I’m Proud to be an American,” reports The Star News Group.

At dusk fireworks will be set off along the Manasquan River for all guests to see.

Event chair Dru Kegreiss hopes that the event will continue as an annual event and also “become a tradition for those who do not have traditional plans on the Fourth of July,” reports The Star News Group
