Point Beach Jazz Fest and 125th Anniversary Kicks Off First Day

Event runs until 10 Saturday night and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday

The Point Pleasant Beach Chamber of Commerce Jazz and Blues Festival and the 125th Anniversary of Point Beach got underway this afternoon with the Eryn Shewell Band opening on stage.

The event continues until 10 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Offerings include: live jazz & blues bands; wine tasting by nine of New Jersey's wineries;  handmade craft items; food & beverages.

Admission is free. Nominal charge for wine tasting.

 There will be fireworks on the beach Sunday night at dark (around 8 p.m.).
