Point High Schools Perform Well in New Report

Point Pleasant High School lagged slightly behind Point Pleasant Beach.

Just as students prepare to head back to high school, a new report has been released that rates how area high schools are performing.

For the first time this year, Inside Jersey based its scores on four years worth of High School Proficiency Assessment data released by the New Jersey Department of Education, which was then weighted with SAT scores as well.

Although Point Pleasant High School lagged behind Point Pleasant Beach - Inside Jersey awarded Point with a "B" grade and Beach an "A" - a report on nj.com noted that "schools with Bs were the ones that showed the most improvement in the last four years."
