Changes I’ve seen for Sandy damaged areas are:
Appraisal value. (they’re coming in lower) due to limited amount of sales. Certificate of Occupancy is now required prior to closing (for both new construction and resale properties). A change in flood ins requirement. Per flood maps some areas now require flood where they did not prior to the storm. Check out mortgagebilly.com to get the flood elevations website from FEMA.
