Restaurant donates in honor of Monmouth County boy who died from cancer

The recently donated $14,000 to the Ashley Lauren Foundation in memory of a young boy who found his zest for burgers and for life.

The recent fundraiser made the "Mark the Shark" burger the centerpiece of the event, to the delight of Mark's family, who live in Marlboro, friends and foundation representatives.

That's really cool having a fund raiser for a great cause. In addition, 709 is probably one of the best restaurants in Ocean County. With Chef Mike, how can you not love the food. It's nice to see a restaurant leverage their resources for a good cause.

We need more business owners like those at 709....they are a shining example of what the community and it's business owners can do when they work together
