The animal welfare committee promises, "There are many adorable kittens to choose from. Some are boardwalk rescues and many have already been spayed/neutered. Come out and find a new friend!"

As for the farmers' market, it will again run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. offering fruit, vegetables, honey, baked goods, herbs, pickles and prepared foods. It will be at the train station on Sunday mornings through Sept. 11.
