Santa Makes Point Boro Sparkle

Annual Arrival of Santa held at Community Park

Santa Claus and a few of his Elves and some other holiday characters - including The Grinch, Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer - arrived at Community Park last night, ushering in a wave of holiday cheer in the borough.

Santa's arrival on a borough firetruck coincided with the borough's Christmas Tree being lit, presided over by Mayor William Schoeder.

Dozens of children then stood in line in the unusually mild winter weather to sit in Santa's lap and have their picture taken while members of the Point Pleasant Chamber of Commerce - which runs the annual event, handed out free cookies and warm apple cider.
