Enterprise Holdings Sponsors Theater Performance For Local New Jersey Elementary Students
Wayne, NJ June 23, 2014- The New York regional operations team of Enterprise Holdings, the corporate parent of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, recently sponsored ArtsPower National Touring Theater Group’s performance of “My Heart In A Suitcase” for more than 200 seventh graders from Memorial Middle School, in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.
“We’re honored to provide children in our community with the opportunity to see this special and memorable performance – one which they might not have had the chance to experience otherwise,” said Carole Lakin, group cultural relations manager for Enterprise Holdings. “We know that the talented actors and actresses of ArtsPower inspired the students at Memorial Middle School will gain a love and appreciation for reading and the performing arts.”
During the performance, students watched as ArtsPower performers acted out scenes from “My Heart In A Suitcase,” a poignant story of heroism in occupied Germany. This ArtsPower performance is meant to teach children about courage, generosity and respect. Since 1985, ArtsPower has put on over 27 original musicals and dramas, most of which are based on young adult novels.
