Point Pleasant Borough 2013 Earth Day Celebration
The Point Pleasant Borough Environmental Commission's 2013 Earth Day Celebration will be held at Riverfront Park on April 20th from 12pm to 4pm (rain date is April 21st ).
The Point Pleasant Borough Environmental Commission is excited to announce that the 2013 Earth Day Celebration will be held at Riverfront Park, River Road, Point Borough.
The event will be held on April 20th from noon to 4 p.m. (rain date is April 21st). This is the 10th Earth Day Celebration hosted by the Borough's Environmental Commission and they are once again expecting a great turnout.
The event showcases vendors of green products/ideas, environmental organizations, and local businesses while also trying to instill environmentally responsible ideas and practices into our younger generations. There will be games and rides for the kids as well as food and music for all.

The Commission is sponsoring a photo contest open to students from Point Pleasant Borough. The subject of this year’s Celebration and Photo Contest is, “Be an Eco-friendly Neighbor”, concentrating on what can you do to reduce the impacts on your neighbor and your neighborhood.
The contest winners' photos will be included in a “Earth Year” calendar given away during this year’s Earth Day Celebration. The 12 winning photo entries will be awarded prizes. The Commission is looking for sponsors to support the contest prizes, the annual scholarship and the Celebration’s operations. Any monetary donations are greatly appreciated.

The Commission is accepting applications for all exhibitors and is always looking for sponsors and donations (applications attached). Exhibitor applications are also located at http://www.env.ptboro.com/pdf/2013-EarthDaySiteApp.pdf. All proceeds fund the annual scholarship awarded to two Borough high school seniors, the contest prizes for the winners of the photo contest, and the operations and incidentals of the event itself.
