Crews Working on Snapped Utility Pole on Bridge Avenue in Point Boro

Traffic near old Tally's Dodge slower than usual as work being done

Tarffic is moving a bit slower than usual on a small section of Bridge Avenue in Point Boro as workers try to fix a utility pole that snapped.

Crews are working Friday afternoon on a towering pole that snapped on Bridge between Leonard and Patterson roads, in the area of the old Tally's Dodge, a few blocks away from the Lovelandtown Bridge.

A tractor-trailer truck making a delivery to a neighboring business apparently collided with low-hanging wires, causing the pole to break, police said.
