Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center Presents “Become an Organ Donor” Information Session

Nearly 115,000 Americans are waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. One organ donor can save the lives of eight people and enhance the lives of 50 others. Barnabas Health, in partnership with the New Jersey Organ and Tissue Sharing Network (NJ Sharing Network), is committed to increasing organ and tissue education and awareness.

Join the Center for Healthy Aging at Kimball Medical Center on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as they team-up to present “Become an Organ Donor” – a program designed to teach participants all they need to know about signing-up to be an organ donor.

During the “Become an Organ Donor” program, participants will learn about the benefits of organ donation and transplantation and how easy it is to give the gift of life.

Through organ and tissue donation and transplantation, the NJ Sharing Network saves lives, gives hope, and restores physical function. NJ Sharing Network is also dedicated to educating the public about the benefits of donation and transplantation and supporting both donor families and transplant recipients.

This free program will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, March 3 at the Center for Healthy Aging, located at 500 River Avenue in Lakewood. Preregistration is required by calling 732-597-6075.
