Surfing the Jersey Shore: Where Have We Been, Where Are We Going?

A panel of members of
the surfing community will discuss the evolution of surfing over the last 50
years, and how it has been a source of community identity at the Jersey Shore.
The short film, East Coast Rising: A Surfer’s Tale of Hurricane Sandy (courtesy
of Transition Productions), will be screened. Discussion will be moderated by
Paul Hart, Executive Director of the Tuckerton Seaport.  Please be aware this film contains mature
language when making your decision to attend.

Funding for these programs has
been provided by a Humanities Festival Grant from the New Jersey Council for
the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
